Babes in the Backyard Newsletter is 12 weeks old!

Happy Sunday after Halloween! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and I am praying the time change transition wasn’t too jarring this morning!

I am so proud to say we have made it 12 weeks strong with 100 active subscribers! Our newsletter would not have made it to this point without the incredible support of all of you. I can’t wait to continue meeting and bringing together new faces and to continuing to build this community of strong, successful, and stress-free Mamas and Babies.

What is Hypochlorous Acid and Should I Be Using It?

Over the past 5 years or so, I have been slowly (or my husband might say abruptly in some cases 😉 ) reducing the toxins and chemicals in our household.
What started fairly simply with moving away from plastic whenever possible and choosing organic and pasture raised options at the store, to more recently trying a plethora of different laundry and dish detergents and all-purpose cleaners. However, the motto in our house is to convert to the toxin-free version ONLY IF it operates the same or better than its leading brand. It’s a balancing act especially with babies.
I have to emphasize that if you are thinking about making similar changes to your household, do it slowly, any small changes you make can be very impactful over time, however usually not worth sacrificing your mental sanity if it feels too daunting. Take it from someone who has gone MUCH too deep at times, only do what feels right to you and your family.
And remember MAMA KNOWS BEST!
